The Paper ( writing this made me more think about the project and helped me figuring out the direction.)

In our too busy lives we almost forget to take care of those who are silently taking the care of our lives, without expecting anything in return. So my project revolves around these unnoticed creatures, which we use in almost every form and who are the reason behind our lives
Yes they are Green the color of life, safety, growth, peace and most importantly TREES.

So the main aim of my project is to make people realize the amount of life (the amount of oxygen) each tree gives to every human being or the amount of life you get from one tree.
Which according to my initial research is that two mature trees provide oxygen for four people or in other words give life to four people.

During research I came across uncountable projects and felt that are we so emotionless and careless that in spite of those uncountable projects taking place, we still facing the problem.

And Yes this is what I will try to do through my project will try to solve some .00% of the problem.

My first prototype will be a simple data visualization of (new york city/ world) trees and forest area in comparison to the living human area. As it will give me a bigger picture of the comparison and then I will try to cut it down to more interactive form in my next prototypes.

My first precedent is a project “these come from trees” with the goal of reducing consumer used papers.
In this they stick stickers everywhere where paper towels are used e.g. restaurants, bathrooms, coffee shops.
The most Amazing thing about this project is to reach out the right message at the right time,
And this is what I appreciate in the project that it is simple, strong and affective.

Second precedent is from an interactive Data visualization present on Global Forest watch website, which compares the amount of forest decreased over the period.
And what I liked about this is that it visually tells the user and with that at the same time let user compare the data from the past making them realize the decrease.

Third comes from a virtual sculpture “smoking tree” which deals with the question
What happens when trees are no longer able to turn carbon dioxide into the oxygen we need to breathe?
The polluting process unfolds over a whole day creating an ever-changing tableau, a sculpture in virtual smoke, which presents a disquieting yet strangely plausible possibility. Over time the tree is weakening and producing less smoke. In approx. 200 years the tree will eventually stop producing smoke and fall rendering the work as a landscape from that time on.
And this project is one of my inspiration because it make the viewer think…think about the condition if.., making him realize the importance of what is most important .
The tree.
